Milos
Sarakiniko · Venus de Milo · Klima syrmata · catacombs · volcanic diving
Milos is a volcanic Cyclades island (160 km²) shaped by ancient eruptions into a coastline of dramatic white rock formations, hidden sea caves and more than 70 beaches scattered around its shores. Unlike many Greek islands, there is no single main beach strip -- Milos rewards exploration. A car or scooter is essential to reach its scattered coves and landmarks. Adamas, the main port, is the natural base for most visitors, with Plaka (the hilltop capital) and Pollonia (north village) offering distinct alternatives.
