Car rental in Aruba

Aruba is compact -- 32 km long -- but the best sights are spread across the island. Buses run only along the Palm Beach resort strip; Arikok National Park, the Natural Pool (Conchi), Boca Prins dunes, and the California Lighthouse require a car or 4WD. The northeastern coast has unpaved tracks that a standard sedan cannot manage in the rainy season -- a high-clearance 4x4 is worth it for Conchi. Oranjestad and Palm Beach parking is plentiful and free. Petrol stations are well distributed. Aruba drives on the right.
