Car rental in Azory

The Azores span nine volcanic islands across 600 km of Atlantic Ocean -- there is no practical way to explore each island without a rental car. Sao Miguel alone is 65 km long and its volcanic highlights -- Sete Cidades, Furnas caldeiras, Lagoa do Fogo -- are spread across the island with no meaningful bus network. On Pico, Faial and Terceira, the road network is the only way to reach the calderas, vineyards and coastal villages. Each island has its own rental fleets at the main airport.
