- Habagat (SW monsoon, June-October): the wettest months on Boracay, with 200-340 mm of rain and seaweed accumulation on White Beach (the leeward side). Wave action shifts to the east-side beaches (Bulabog), making them best for kitesurfing.
- Amihan (NE monsoon, November-May): the dry, breezy season — White Beach calms down, sea is clear and turquoise, and the famous 4 km-long sand strip is at its postcard best. February-April is the driest and busiest period.
- Brief inter-monsoon transitions (May, October-November): heaviest rainfall often falls in late wet season (October — 419 mm). November is a sharp transition into amihan dry season.
- Typhoon season (June-November, peak August-October): central Visayas typhoon track. Boracay was hit directly by Super Typhoon Yolanda (Haiyan, 2013) and Odette (Rai, 2021) with major damage. Modern resort construction is more typhoon-resistant.
- Equatorial warmth: 26-28 °C year-round; sea 28-31 °C.
- Bulabog Beach kitesurfing: the SW-facing shoreline opposite White Beach is one of SE Asia's premier kite spots — wind reliably 15-25 knots November-April.
