Beach & Luxury
Seven Mile Beach is the Cayman Islands' headline attraction: a near-continuous stretch of white sand along the western shore of Grand Cayman lined with international five-star resorts. The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Hyatt and Kimpton Seafire occupy the prime stretch. This is the base for the widest range of restaurants, watersports and nightlife — and commands the highest prices in the Caribbean.
Nature & Wildlife
Staying near the Queen Elizabeth II Botanic Park or in the quieter North Side gives access to the Blue Iguana Recovery Programme, the Mastic Trail and the crystal caves. Small guesthouses and rental villas in this area suit independent travellers wanting to explore beyond the resort strip. Rum Point, with its shallow Caribbean waters and legendary rum punch, is the main beach in this area.
Diving & Snorkeling
The Cayman Islands are among the world's top diving destinations. Wall diving sites near George Town are accessible from Seven Mile Beach hotels, but the best diving on Grand Cayman is on the west wall. Cayman Brac and Little Cayman offer world-class walls — particularly Bloody Bay Wall on Little Cayman, rated among the best dives on earth. Small dive lodges on both islands combine accommodation and multiple daily dives.
Boutique & Local
Away from the Seven Mile Beach mega-resorts, Grand Cayman has a growing number of boutique properties in George Town and the East End. These smaller hotels and guesthouses offer a more personal experience, easier access to local restaurants and the blowholes and ironshore scenery of the East End, at significantly lower rates than the main beach corridor.
