Car rental in Curacao

Curacao is 444 km2 and completely car-dependent -- there is no public transport network connecting the main sights. Willemstad is walkable but every beach worth visiting (Playa Kenepa, Cas Abou, Playa Lagun, Playa Forti) is at the western end of the island, 30-50 minutes by car from the capital. Christoffel National Park and Shete Boka National Park require a car. Taxis are expensive for longer trips. Most rental companies have desks at Hato Airport.
