Anfi del Mar
1 Anfi del Mar
Beach
Anfi del Mar is an artificial beach resort in the municipality of Mogán in southwestern Gran Canaria, on the GC-500 coastal road between Arguineguín and Puerto Rico. The beach was constructed with pale golden-white sand imported from the Sahara, giving it an unusually light appearance compared to the darker volcanic shores found elsewhere on the island. The bay is enclosed by constructed breakwaters that regulate wave action and maintain calm, shallow water conditions. The setting combines a natural rocky headland with a constructed crescent beach and marina.

2 El Maipés de Agaete – nekropole
Historic site
El Maipés de Agaete is a pre-Hispanic archaeological site and necropolis in the municipality of Agaete in northwestern Gran Canaria. The site contains hundreds of burial tumuli — stone-covered mounds — constructed by the Guanche people, the indigenous Canary Islanders who inhabited the island before Spanish colonisation in the 15th century. The necropolis is one of the largest of its type on Gran Canaria and is protected as an archaeological park. It occupies a volcanic hillside of black basalt above the Agaete valley, with views toward the coast.
