Car rental in Guadeloupe

Guadeloupe has no rail network and public buses (LIBUS) cover only the main Grande-Terre corridors. To reach Basse-Terre's La Soufriere volcano, the Cousteau Marine Reserve at Pigeon Island, the waterfalls of Carbet, and the beaches of Les Saintes or Marie-Galante you need a rental car plus ferry. The island is shaped like a butterfly -- crossing between Grande-Terre and Basse-Terre takes 30 minutes. All major agencies operate at PTP Airport; Guadeloupe drives on the RIGHT (French rules).
