Car rental in Palawan

A rental car is useful for exploring central Palawan around Puerto Princesa, but El Nido and Coron are better reached by boat or direct flight. Within El Nido town, tricycles and habal-habal motorbikes handle local trips. The road from Puerto Princesa to El Nido (5 hours) is paved and drivable -- renting a car or joining a shared van lets you stop at Port Barton and the Underground River en route. For Coron, fly directly and explore by boat and tricycle.
