Data controller

What we collect

We use Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-MTFRFV2Q0P) to count visitors and understand which pages are popular. GA4 is configured with Consent Mode v2: analytics storage is denied by default and only activated after you click Accept on the cookie banner. IP addresses are anonymized. Default GA4 retention period is 14 months.

We use browser localStorage to remember your language preference (key: lang) and your cookie consent choice (key: cookieConsent). No personal data is stored.

Cookies

We do not use cookies for tracking. Google Analytics, when consented, uses first-party cookies _ga and _ga_* (default GA4 cookies). You can decline at any time via the cookie banner or by clearing browser storage.

Third country transfer

Google Analytics processes data in the United States. Transfers are covered by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (Google LLC is certified) and Standard Contractual Clauses where applicable.

Your rights (GDPR)

Under GDPR Articles 15-22 you have the right to access, rectify, delete, restrict, port, or object to processing of your personal data. Submit requests to info@islandguide.eu. We respond within 30 days.
