Lajares
Activity
Lajares is a small village in the La Oliva municipality of north-central Fuerteventura, roughly 10 minutes by car from three coastlines: the north, northwest, and northeast shores of the island. The village sits on a volcanic plain and retains historic windmills on its edges, remnants of the Canarian agricultural interior. Local infrastructure includes shops, bars, and restaurants, and the area has developed a community centred around outdoor sports. The central location relative to multiple surf and wind-sport sites makes Lajares a practical base for exploring the north.
