Car rental in Lanai

Lanai has no public transport -- the island is served by a single paved highway network and two unpaved 4WD roads to Polihua Beach and the north shore. To reach Garden of the Gods (Keahiakawelo), Luahiwa Petroglyphs, and Kaunolu Village you need a 4WD vehicle. Dollar Rent A Car and local operators serve LNY Airport; the fleet is very small. Alternatively, the ferry from Maui lands at Manele Harbor -- car rental is not available at the harbor so arrange airport pickup in advance.
