Car rental in Molokai

Molokai has no public transport at all -- the only town is Kaunakakai, and every attraction from Papohaku Beach on the west end to Halawa Valley on the east requires a car. The island is 61 km long and the single main road (Hwy 460/450) takes about 90 minutes end to end. A car is also needed for the 4WD tracks to Kamakou Preserve, Mo'omomi Beach, and the Waikolu Valley Lookout. Alamo operates the only rental desk at MKK Airport; fleet is very limited so book well in advance.
