Golden Bay
Beach
Golden Bay is one of Malta's most popular sandy beaches on the northwest coast in the Manikata area, previously known as Military Bay. The beach slopes gently into the sea, and the surrounding sandstone cliffs and reddish soil give the area a distinctive warm colouration. The bay faces northwest, making it famous for spectacular sunsets. The Ghajn Tuffieha International Scout Campsite is nearby, and the Ghajn Tuffieha watchtower stands on the adjacent headland overlooking both Golden Bay and the beach to its south.
