Majjistral Nature & History Park

The Majjistral Nature and History Park is Malta's only designated national park, established in September 2007 under Legal Notice 251 of the Malta Government Gazette. It occupies the coastal area of northwestern Malta between Golden Bay and Il-Prajjet, encompassing dramatic cliffs, Mediterranean garrigue scrubland and open sea views towards Comino and Gozo. The park is named for the Maltese word for the northwestern wind and is managed as a protected area for native flora and fauna, with several marked walking trails.
