Hagar Qim & Mnajdra – Visitor Centre
Activity
The Hagar Qim and Mnajdra Archaeological Park encompasses both megalithic temple complexes on the southwest coast of Malta, dating from the Ggantija phase of around 3600 to 3200 BC. A purpose-built visitor centre and protective tent structures over the temples were completed in 2009, shielding the ancient stone from weathering. The visitor centre contains interactive exhibitions on Neolithic Malta, scale models and audiovisual presentations. UNESCO inscribed both sites as World Heritage Sites in 1992.
